Security Cameras on Armored Trucks
In recent times companies involved in transfer of big amount of currencies over longer distances have started using installation of security cameras on their currency carrying vehicles. These cameras are so small that one cannot find it even with a very detailed look.
Important companies don’t want to take any sort of risk to these trucks when the amount of currency carried is considered. There are some trucks having additional cameras installed outside.
When these trucks leave places such as financial institutions and banks they are observed by technicians in some other remote places. These currency carrying trucks are also monitored when they leave places like casinos from where large amount of currency is transferred. Even the drivers of the trucks have no idea where all the cameras have been installed for the reason that trucks with different numbers have cameras installed at different areas.
It proves to be a safety precaution for the drivers and the consignment carried by them. The trucks are monitored by the technicians until they reach desired destination. Most of the people don’t have idea that these armored trucks are equipped with security cameras. Basically it is the whole idea behind the seen. These cameras have capability of tracking the vehicle incase the truck wander off its route and so have they recording capability. The drivers of these armored trucks know the security cameras are there on the vehicle but are not told where they are.
Installing and removing these security cameras is basically a simple task. That’s why these cameras have been moved to different areas of the truck continually.
These remote security cameras are used by some of trucking companies as means of taking edge but the core issue is of the cost of technicians which monitor the movement of cameras between different destinations. But if the cargo carried is considered, this cost worth’s a lot. However the decision to trade-off between cost and benefit depends on the specific company.
Nevertheless the use of these security cameras on armored trucks makes companies believe they are protected them from those who intend to rob the vehicles. Most of the times person attempting robbery has to face loss. So the companies believe if they see cameras outside the truck they may keep away from it.
Since the large amounts of currency are carried by these trucks, the attempts to rob them and actual robberies are thought to decrease with the help of these security cameras. Most probably these companies would not be the target of violence as they were in the past, since the crime rate has increased so much in recent past.
